Our Beliefs and Faith

A.   God

We believe in an Eternal God (that neither has a beginning or an end) Jeremiah 10:10, Hebrews 13:8. In a Total God = Supreme, absolute, complete, one God (that understands and encompasses everything) Deuteronomy 6:4. In an Omniscient God = That knows everything (that has knowledge of all things) Jeremiah 17:9-10. In an Omnipresent God = That is present everywhere. He is the only one that has ubiquity. That is present at the same time everywhere. Psalm 139:7-12. In an Omnipotent God = Almighty (can do anything). Isaiah 40:12-17, 21-28, Revelation 1:8, Luke 1:37, Genesis 17:1. In a God that created everything. Genesis 1-2, Psalm 146:6, John 1:1-3. In a God that made everything. Isaiah 17:7, Jeremiah 10:16. In the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Exodus 3:6. We believe that there is no greater God than Him. Deuteronomy 10:17. All of this shows the Only Supreme God of all the Universe, the I AM. Exodus 3:14.

B.   Trinity

We believe that God is made or composed of 3 individual persons (the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit) and at the same time, the 3 are 1 (1 John 5:7) (it is crucial that a proper translation of the Bible be used to read this passage. Newer versions omit part of this passage. In the Stephens 1550 Textus Receptus and Scrivener 1894 Textus Receptus both agree in the completeness of the verse in the ancient Greek. I suggest using either King James or New King James Versions for accurate reading). The three persons within God have a particular role in their functions as deity. In this we see the perfect completeness of God. If the person of God was missing any of these three persons, He would not be perfect. Each individual identity is as follows:

1.          God the Father, the First Person – The Lord Jesus mentions this person as His Father, His Authority. Matthew 26:39, 42, 53. He puts that order of Authority when mentioning all of the Deity. Matthew 28:19, John 5:30, 36. He puts Him as higher. John 14:28. He mentions Him as the Heavenly Father. That is why He makes an emphasis that He is in heaven. Matthew 23:9, 10:33. He is His Head. 1 Corinthians 11:3. He is the one that no human has seen. John 1:18 (has never been exposed to sin).  There is perfect unity among them. John 17:21-23. The only moment that the Father separated from His Son was when the Lord Jesus took, carried, and paid for all the sins of the world on the cross. Mark 15:34. The Father reigns supreme as the Authority and is seated on the highest Throne. Isaiah 66:1, Psalm 45:6, Revelation 7:10, 15, Revelation 19:4. He gives the Holy Spirit. Luke 11:13, Acts 5:32, and Hebrews 2:4.

2.          God the Son, the Second Person – The Lord Jesus is God. Luke 1:46, 47, Romans 9:5, Hebrews 13:8. The Word. John 1:1-3. The Son of the Most High. Luke 1:32. The only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-17. The Lord, King of kings and Lord of lords. Revelation 19:11-16, Romans 10:9. The Savior. Luke 2:11, Matthew 1:21. The Lamb of God. John 1:29, Revelation 22:1-4. The Messiah, the Christ, the Anointed who was prophesied of and announced. Isaiah 7:14. Fulfilled. Luke 1:26-35, John 1:41. His Throne is at the right hand of the Father. Hebrews 8:1, 12:2, Acts 7:55. The list is never-ending with the different names and manifestations as God, Lord, and Savior. The Son is the only one that has had contact with man since the creation. His work is to glorify and exalt the Father in His Holy, Pure, and Perfect Love in obedience and fulfillment. John 8:28, 29, Hebrews 5:7-10.

3.          God the Holy Spirit, the Third Person – The Spirit of God. Exodus 31:3. The Spirit of Christ. 1 Peter 1:11, Philippians 19. God is Spirit. John 4:24. The Lord is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:17. The Eternal Spirit. Hebrews 9:14. Spirit of Grace. Hebrews 10:29. The Comforter. John 14:15-17, 16:7-11. The Spirit of Truth. John 14:17, 15:26, 16:13. His work: He comes to give testimony of the Lord. 1 John 5:6. He manifests Himself in power. Luke 4:14, Romans 15:19. Lives in us. John 14:16-17. So that Christ can live by Faith in our heart. Ephesians 3:14-17 and the essence of God Himself. The Spirit of God. Exodus 31:3. The Spirit of Christ. 1 Peter 1:11, Philippians 1:19. God is Spirit. John 4:24. The Lord is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:17. The Eternal Spirit. Hebrews 9:14. The Spirit of Grace. Hebrews 10:29. The Spirit of Truth. John 14:17, 15:26. His work is to give testimony of the Lord. 1 John 5:6.

Many are His manifestations of His Work: Reveals. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10. Gives out gifts. 1 Corinthians 12:4-11. Produces fruit. Galatians 5:22-23. Teaches and reminds. John 14:26. Guides, speaks, and gives knowledge. John 16:13. Intercedes and helps. Romans 8:26. Conceives. Matthew 1:18-20. Speaks. Matthew 10:20, Mark 13:11. Is upon His servants. Anoints. Acts 10:38. Sends. Acts 13:4. Pours out. Romans 5:5. Seals. Ephesians 1:13. Renews. Titus 3:5. And inspires. 2 Peter 1:21.

C.   Salvation

We believe that salvation is possible only as explained in the Word of God which is the Holy Bible. It teaches that salvation is: 1) through faith (Romans 1:16), 2) by being born again (John 3:1-7), through one Lord, one Faith, one Baptism, one God and Father for all.

  • By Faith in Jesus – It’s by believing with all your heart that He is Lord, God, and the only and sufficient Savior (Luke 1:46-47). It is by faith through grace (Romans 4:16, 5:1, 2). Grace is the favor of God the Son. It is the fulfillment of the Son of God on the cross for us. Grace through faith is believing with all your heart in the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus. It is believing that He took our place and paid with His life and His blood for all our sins on the cross. Faith is believing in everything that His Person means, and in all of the generosity of His Work (His Grace). We are justified by that faith before God the Father (Galatians 3:6-9, Romans 4:23-25).
  • Being Born Again – Conversion, change of life, a new creature for God (2 Corinthians 5:17, James 1:18).

a. Born of Water: It is the baptism of repentance (Mark 1:4, 1 John 1:9, Luke 3:8-14)

b. Born of the Spirit: It is the work of the Spirit of God, convincing a person of their sin through the Word (John 16:8), using it as a sword (Ephesians 6:17, Hebrews 4:12-13), to wash (Ephesians 5:26). Righteousness and Salvation shall be made life in a person by believing and confess all of this (Romans 10:8-10). Christ will live by faith (Ephesians 3:14-19) in our heart.

  • One Lord – Jesus is Lord (Romans 10:9). One Faith in the power, “…that God has raised Him from the dead…” (Romans 10:9) (We will be raised as well). One Baptism, the Baptism of Repentance (Luke 3:3), one God and Father of all, “…and His name will be called… …Everlasting Father…” (Isaiah 9:6). “…the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” (Ephesians 1:23).

D.   The Scriptures

We believe that the Holy Bible or the Scriptures are the inerrant, perfect Word of God. The Scriptures were written by men, but inspired by God (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We believe in the Scriptures of the Holy Bible as the Word of God, as the doctrine of God (Titus 2:10), the Doctrine of the Lord (Acts 13:12), the Doctrine of Christ (2 John 9), the Doctrine of the Apostles (Acts 2:42), the Sound Doctrine (1 Timothy 1:10, 2 Timothy 4:3, Titus 2:1) and the Good Doctrine (1 Timothy 4:6). The Scriptures are composed of the Old (the Tanakh or Tanach) and New Testament for a total of 66 books (39 books in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament). Although the Tanakh differs in its number of books, the Old Testament in the Holy Bible is the same; just that certain books were divided differently to that of the Tanakh (e.g. Tanakh – the Book of Samuel vs. the Old Testament – 1 and 2 Samuel). We believe everything that is mentioned in the Scriptures and they are the only basis and center for all of our spiritual beliefs.

The Scriptures will remain until the end (Matthew 24:35). The Scriptures are more than words expressing doctrine, historical fact, future occurrences, but rather it is the manifestation of a person, the Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:1) as the Word of God and His Work (Hebrews 4:12-13).

We furthermore believe that the most faithful translations from the original manuscripts of the Scriptures in English are the King James and New King James Versions. We believe firmly that the Word can be worded to help people understand better, but NEVER at the expense of losing its Pure and Holy meaning. Through our studies of the Scriptures and comparing newer versions to that of original texts (mainly ancient Greek for the New Testament), there are many discrepancies and deletions (i.e. 1 John 5:7 – compare either King James or New King James to the New International Version).

We believe that the Holy Bible was completed, sealed and protected from any additions or deletions by God Himself in Revelation 22:18-19. Whoever believes that this scripture just applies to the book of Revelations does not truly understand what the Biblical meaning of the word “prophecy” is. Prophecy is not necessarily speaking about future things. The Biblical definition of Prophecy is “speaking on God’s behalf.” The whole Bible is the Word of God and speaks on God’s behalf.

E.    Baptism (Believer’s Baptism)

We believe that Baptism (water Baptism or Believer’s Baptism) is a vital part of the Christian walk. It is not a requirement for salvation (Luke 23:39-43), but it is an obedience (Matthew 3:13-17) that must be part of a born again believer. We believe that Baptism should be by complete emersion in water according to the Bible. We have the example through the Lord and His baptism (Mark 1:9-11. Matthew 3:13-17, John 3:22-23). It should only be done after a person has been born again (repenting from their sins and accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior). It is a symbolism of what has already occurred in the believer’s life (Romans 6:3-4). It is the testimony and confirmation of the Christian’s faith before God and men (Matthew 10:32-33).

F.     The Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit or in the Fullness of the Holy Spirit as the Bible describes (Acts 2:1-4). We believe that it is a moment or a phase in the life of a believer when the Holy Spirit is not only inside their heart, but also comes upon them (Acts 2:3) for ministering or the Lord’s service (Luke 4:18, 19). This baptism is the consecration and the anointing of the Spirit (2 Corinthians 1:21, 1 John 2:27) and being endued with power (Luke 24:49 and Acts 1:8).

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit can come through the laying of hands (Luke 8:18, 9:17) or sometimes, without the laying of hands (Acts 10:44-46). The manifestation of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit can be seen clearly through the gifts that a believer begins to display (1 Corinthians 12:1-11). We believe that the Holy Spirit distributes the gifts how He pleases (1 Corinthians 12:31, 1 Corinthians 14:1, James 1:5 as examples). According to the Scriptures cited, we believe that not all believers will necessarily have the gift of angelical tongues, therefore, this cannot be used as a sign that a believer has experienced the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

G.      The Lord’s Supper

The Lord’s Supper or communion is a practice that was taught and practiced by our Lord to commemorate His sacrifice and His coming (1 Corinthians 11:23-26). As referred to in the Scriptures, the bread without leaven represents or symbolizes the Body of Christ and the wine (new wine or pure grape juice) represents or symbolizes Christ’s Blood. Since the Lord’s Supper is to proclaim the Lord’s death till he comes, it should be done with new wine (Matthew 26:27-29). In the original text, it uses the phrase “drink it new” which means freshly pressed (obviously not fermented).

H.    The Last Things

  • The Rapture – According to the Scriptures, in the end times, the Lord will come again first to take unto himself all believers (Matthew 24:29-42, Daniel 12:2, Luke 17:20-36, Revelation 14:14-16, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17). We believe this will physically and truly occur. This is the hope of all of those who are left on earth, of seeing the Lord Jesus come for us and not see death, but be transformed in the heavens.
  • The Tribulation and Great Tribulation – These phrases signify time periods that will happen in the end times. The Scriptures are difficult to interpret regarding these time periods. Nonetheless, both periods represent occurrences that will happen in the world that have never happened before and they will be terrible, especially the Great Tribulation (Daniel 12:6-13).

In the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:15-28), the Antichrist will ascend to power over the whole world along with the Beast and the False Prophet. During this time, the Bible teaches that Satan will create a mark based on the number 666 (Revelations 13:18). At that time, if a person does not receive the mark of the Beast, they will not be able to buy, sell, work, or function as a normal citizen, but they will be persecuted until they are killed by Satan’s world government. Once a person receives the mark, they will be lost forever and will suffer the same eternal punishment as Satan (Revelations 14:9-11).

  • The 1,000 Year Reign of the Lord. Revelation 20:1-10.
  • Final Judgment – The world will stand judgment before God on a day appointed by Him after it is all done (Revelations 20:11-15). Those of us whose names are written in the Book of Life will go to eternal life with God, and those not found in the Book of Life will be cast to the lake of fire which is the second death, the death of the soul. However, we will all give an account for our actions whether we are believers or not (2 Corinthians 5:10).

It is mentioned that we as Christians will face judgment before Christ (Roman 14:10, Hebrews 10:30). We as Christians will not be judged to determine our eternal salvation, but will receive rewards for our work here on earth (2 Corinthians 5:10, Matthew 6:19-21). We will be rewarded for the use of our talents as well (Matthew 25:14-30) and for overcoming (Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 26-28, 3:5, 12, and 21). He who endures to the end shall be saved (Matthew 24:13). The Church shall be judged by Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10) and the world shall be judged by God the Father (1 Corinthians 5:13, Romans 3:6).
